I graduated from UIC with a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Before I trusted that instinct, I did what most people do — I got a job. Sales. I was good at it. But somewhere between the pipelines and pitch decks, it hit me: there has got to be more to work than this.
I had been planning events on the side for years — quietly, almost accidentally. I had a way of seeing how something could feel before it existed. At 24, I gave my notice.
Citygirl started as a wedding and event company. It became something more — a design house, a philosophy about what celebrations can be when every guest deserves to leave feeling genuinely moved. That's still the whole point.
