I love Kerrie Gallagher. Kerrie has amazing intuition, she knows how to manage multiple vendors and help you get the outcome you are striving for, even when you are too frazzled to see the forest for the trees!

She was cool, calm and collected throughout the entire process, even when I had my bride 'moments'. She was always there whenever we called to help us think through our ideas and decide what would be the best way to approach details for our wedding. Our wedding was featured on, in part due to Kerrie's amazing skills. She has the patience of a saint, and a heart of gold. We highly recommend Kerrie for her energy, her love of what she does, and her contagious excitement for the big day!

Enlisting the help and expertise of Citygirl Weddings was HONESTLY THE BEST decision we could have made.

Kerrie and Shar are fabulous planners and just plain fun! (Seriously, They're amazing.)  They take over the stressful and hectic part of the planning process while involving you as much or as little as you want to be. The connections they have with wonderful vendors could easily save you enough money to offset the cost of the service.

My husband would not have survived the wedding planning process without Citygirl!!!

We had our wedding ceremony on the Elite Yacht off of Navy Pier and our reception at Cite. The ladies at Citygirl made sure it went smoothly and took the stress out of the weekend event festivities. Flowers, cake, chairs, stationery, make-up, hair, linens, trolleys, vows, rehearsal, decorating, photography, and even a wake up call was all coordinated. They kept the bridal party calm and the guests on schedule the day of. All the vendors they referred were value priced and highest quality. A huge THANK YOU to Kerrie and her crew!!!

I cannot imagine a nicer, more experienced, capable, and professional wedding planner than Kerrie!

We worked with Kerrie at Citygirl for our wedding at the Chicago History Museum. She and her team did an amazing job in making sure the entire day was well-coordinated and on schedule.  Both my fiance and I remarked to each other after the wedding that we don't know how we could have pulled off the wedding without her! She went above and beyond by offering great vendor suggestions, answering questions from my parents, offering suggestions based on what she's seen work well in Chicago and in our event spaces, and generally supporting my fiance and I in countless ways leading up to the wedding day and during the day-of.  She made the pre-wedding day meetings efficient, fun, and enjoyable for both of us, and planned everything in a way that made my fiance, my parents, and I have total confidence that all the details would be taken care of on the wedding day.  On the day of the wedding, she handled all of the logistics, taking care of any issues that came up such that we could just have a wonderful time and focus on the joy of the day. We could also tell that the vendors we worked with respect and enjoy working with Kerrie, which speaks volumes to her professional abilities as a wedding coordinator.  In fact, I first heard of Kerrie through one of our vendors, who said that she was one of the best coordinators to work with as a vendor because of her experience, demeanor, and professionalism.  I highly recommend Kerrie as a wedding coordinator, and I will genuinely miss working with her!

Working with Citygirl Events will absolutely be the best decision you can make for your wedding.

Ours was a plan from afar wedding as we live in Sacramento, CA but I wanted to get married in Chicago. I did one trip to look at venues on my own and was already overwhelmed not to mention that my husband and I work a lot so planning on our own was just a ridiculous idea.

Kerrie is absolutely awesome! We first talked over the phone for a consultation and she outlined the various. She then took off and presented venues. The venues were all places I could see myself get married. We were sold on the Planetarium with the skyline view of Chicago, glass walls and uff, just everything. I had multiple freak outs (well for me it was a freak out but I'm not sure if it was truly a freak out...maybe, I don't work with brides) in terms of the invite list (mainly my side inviting too many people) and the flowers (I really am not a flower person and didn't care about a bouquet for me, so sticker shock was an understatement), but Kerrie was so sweet and understanding and very calming. I felt everything else was soooooooooooo easy with them. My husband and I did one trip out to do food tasting, meeting with cake folks, invitations person, etc. We really just decided to enjoy the process and basically went with the folks that Kerrie suggested. She often did give options. She also was very understanding when I didn't get back to her for days (work keeps me busy) and would send nice emails reminders for me which kept me from slipping away from decisions which was great. There were items I also just had sent to Citygirls office which was great that I didn't have to bring them out in bags such as the mints for the tables. Kerrie and I would occasionally Skype meet which was so nice or just touch base by phone.

The week of the wedding we met with Kerrie and her team and went through the day. She printed out the agendas for everyone and the day was so awesome and fun. I really felt like it was such a fun day and there was way more than I even expected with her team. There was a team to steam all our gowns and suits as well as someone from her team with us all day.

The wedding was such a hit. We had so many compliments. The people loved the organization, layout of everything, the band, the dj, the bellydancer Kerrie went out and found for the first time, the food, the scenery. I did not see this but she even accommodated the priest and the musicians (and my Aunt who had her hair done) to get them and their instruments (of music and religion) away from danger (the rain stopped :) )

Honestly, I want to get married again so I can work with Kerrie and plan an amazing party again. I feel like I made a friend in addition.

Shar was not only friendly but we hit it off instantly. Because of Shar, we chose a beautiful wedding location and we worked with an amazing team of vendors that we otherwise might have never discovered on our own.

Shar and her team, whom we affectionately call "The Dream Team", visualized the perfect wedding for us. Shar was organized and kept all the moving parts of planning a wedding, on track. We were in constant contact with Shar, and she was always accessible. And on our wedding day, everything went flawlessly. My husband and I were able to enjoy our special day without any worries, all thanks to Shar and The Dream Team. Our wedding day was more beautiful than we had hoped. We can't imagine having gone through the wedding planning process without Shar.

Shar + her team were the secret sauce for our wedding!

Initially I didn't know if I needed a coordinator but I truly could not have imagined the weekend without her. They kept the whole weekend on track, handled anything I needed extra assistance with, and truly allowed me (the bride!) to have an absolutely amazing and carefree day.  I would recommend Citygirl to anyone looking for some extra assistance for their wedding. I received countless compliments on how smoothly and organized our wedding was and that's thanks to Citygirl behind the scenes!  I can't wait to work with Shar and her amazing team again.
